This is an example of the first model of marketing advertising developed in the early 1900's.
It argues that consumers are rational decision makers & and could be persuaded via the presentation of information. It was based on tactics utilized by the door to door salesman the most effective method of marketing during the most early development of mass media marking. This model has since been antiquated and replaced with more reliable models of marketing based on market research suggesting that EMOTION plays a much more important role in decision making rather than LOGIC.

ReplyDeleteHow does one persuade or build a minimal rapport with the client in such a small amount of time? In sales wouldn't you want to develop a good feeling with the consumer and create a sense of caring for that consumer? How can we go about doing that in a short amount of time? And then turn around and kick em out the door and sell to the next one?
